What Do Hogyoku Shards Do in VV: ULTIMATUM?
Hogyoku Shards are crafting currency — collect enough at a blacksmith to forge a Hogyoku. Using a Hogyoku opens a 7-wish menu for late-game quality-of-life: reset build points, reroll weapon forms, reroll ability types, earn tokens, reroll Hollow traits, boost one technique, or refund toolbar skills.
Shards themselves do nothing in inventory until crafted. Think of them as tickets to the Hogyoku wish system, not a direct consumable buff.

How to Get Experimental Hogyoku Shards
Experimental Hogyoku Shards cannot be farmed from missions. Craft a regular Hogyoku from mission shards, then select wish #2 — you receive seven experimental shards.
Spend experimental shards to reroll your Shikai, Schrift, or Resurrección weapon form (appearance/stats bundle). This is separate from ability type rerolls (wish #3).
