How to Reset Skill Tree, Stats & Build

Step-by-step reset guide — skill tree, attribute points, clan rerolls, and Hogyoku shard farming.

Adapted from JustKenshi (@JustKenshi)~8 min read

// Guide Summary

Hogyoku Shards drop from high-difficulty mission chests and Rift chests — craft a Hogyoku for 7 wishes including experimental shards and stat/skill resets. One free full reset (build + stats + skill tree) before level 20. After that, level 70+ crafted reset or Hogyoku wish #1 for attribute points. Skill tree reset: free reset pre-20, full craft reset post-70, or Hogyoku wish #7 (toolbar refund — essences NOT returned). Clan reroll: main menu → edit profile. Experimental Hogyoku shards (wish #2) reroll Shikai/Schrift/Res weapon form.

Free Reset Before Level 20

One free build reset before level 20
One free build reset before level 20

VV grants exactly one free full build reset before level 20. This resets everything — build points, attribute allocation, and skill tree choices.

If your build feels wrong in the first hours, use this reset immediately rather than grinding to 70. After level 20, the free option is gone and resets require crafted items or Robux.

JustKenshi emphasizes: most build mistakes happen early. Pair your reset with vvbuilder.online to plan the corrected path before re-spending.

Key Tips

  • One free reset — only before level 20
  • Resets build points + skills + attributes
  • Use with VV Builder planned build
  • After Lv.20 = expensive to fix
Lv.70+

Level 70+ Crafted Build Reset

Craft materials from bosses for build reset
Craft materials from bosses for build reset

Post-level-20 build resets require crafting specific items once you reach level 70. Materials drop from bosses — e.g. Crocodile Scales and Flame from a Hueco Mundo boss.

If you messed up your build before 20 and didn't reset, you're looking at a significant boss-farming grind to craft the reset item.

This is why multiple guides stress planning at vvbuilder.online before your first skill point allocation.

  1. 1Reach level 70
  2. 2Farm boss drops for reset materials
  3. 3Craft the build reset item
  4. 4Use from inventory to full reset

Key Tips

  • Lv.70 gate for crafted reset
  • Hueco Mundo boss = key materials
  • Major grind if you skipped free reset
  • 1000 Robux alternative (per other guides)
Stats

How to Reset Stats & Attribute Points

How to reset stats and attribute points in VV Ultimatum
How to reset stats and attribute points in VV Ultimatum

Players search "reset stats" or "reset attribute points" — in VV these are your passive build-point allocation (Shunpo, Posture, Reserves, etc.), not your character level.

Before level 20: use the one free full reset — it refunds all build points, attribute points, and skill tree investments at once.

After level 20: craft the level 70+ reset item for a full stat + skill wipe, or craft a Hogyoku and choose wish #1 (Relocate build points) to reset only your passive stat allocation without touching skills.

Hogyoku wish #1 is the targeted fix when you misallocated attributes but want to keep your skill tree intact.

  1. 1Pre-Lv.20: use free reset from character menu
  2. 2Post-Lv.20 full wipe: craft Lv.70 reset item
  3. 3Partial stat fix: Hogyoku → wish #1 Relocate build points

Key Tips

  • Stats = build / attribute points
  • Free reset covers stats + skills
  • Hogyoku #1 = stats only
  • Level is NOT reset by these options

Skill Tree

How to Reset Skill Tree

How to reset skill tree in VV Ultimatum

"How to reset skill tree" is one of the most searched VV queries. Skill tree resets refund skill points spent on nodes in the M menu trees (Hakuda, Speed, Kido, etc.).

Method 1 — Free reset before level 20: resets your entire skill tree along with stats and build points. Use this if you are still under level 20.

Method 2 — Level 70+ crafted reset: full build wipe including every skill point and node unlock. Requires boss material grind (Hueco Mundo drops).

Method 3 — Hogyoku wish #7 (Refund all toolbar skills): clears equipped toolbar abilities for a fresh setup. This does NOT fully refund all skill tree nodes — pair with wish #1 or a full reset for complete respec.

Critical warning: resetting skill points never returns consumed skill essences (Grand Ray Cero, Kurikara, etc.). Only reset skills before investing rare essences, or use Shrine Refund nodes to pass through unwanted abilities without keeping them.

  1. 1Under Lv.20: free full reset from character menu
  2. 2Lv.70+: craft reset item for complete skill tree wipe
  3. 3Hogyoku wish #7: refund toolbar skills only
  4. 4Shrine Refund: skip nodes without keeping unwanted skills

Key Tips

  • 3 ways to reset skill tree
  • Free reset = best early option
  • Skill essences are NOT refunded
  • Shrine Refund for hybrid pathing

How to Reroll Clan & Abilities

Clan reroll and ability reroll screens
Clan reroll and ability reroll screens

Clan reroll: return to the main character screen → edit profile → reroll clan. Use clan reroll tokens from codes (e.g. day1) or premium purchases.

Ability reroll (Shikai / Schrift / Resurrección): unlock your power first, then the ability screen becomes available. Reroll from there using ability roll tokens.

Weapon form reroll requires Experimental Hogyoku Shards (7 shards via Hogyoku wish) — separate from ability type rerolls.

Key Tips

  • Clan = profile edit screen
  • Codes grant free clan rerolls
  • Ability screen unlocks after power obtained
  • Weapon form = experimental shards
Hogyoku

Hogyoku Shard & Experimental Shard Guide

How to get Hogyoku shards and experimental Hogyoku shards
How to get Hogyoku shards and experimental Hogyoku shards

Hogyoku Shards are the base currency for late-game resets. Farm them from high-difficulty mission chests — higher mission tier = better drop rates. Rift chests have the highest shard chance in the game.

Collect enough shards at a crafting station to forge a Hogyoku. Using a Hogyoku opens 7 wish options. Wish #2 grants seven Experimental Hogyoku Shards — these reroll your Shikai, Schrift, or Resurrección weapon form (separate from ability type rerolls).

How to get experimental Hogyoku shards: you cannot farm them directly from missions. Craft a regular Hogyoku from mission shards, then choose wish #2 to receive 7 experimental shards. Spend those to reroll your race weapon appearance.

All 7 Hogyoku wishes: 1) Relocate build points (stat reset). 2) Seven experimental shards (weapon form reroll). 3) Seven ability rolls (Shikai/Schrift/Res type reroll). 4) ~5,000 tokens. 5) Reroll all 4 Hollow traits. 6) Ultimate mastery on one technique. 7) Refund toolbar skills (partial skill reset).

Gelum (tutorial boss) drops a Hogyoku fragment — useful early stock. For bulk farming, run high-difficulty missions and prioritize Rift chest routes.

  1. 1Farm Hogyoku Shards from hard missions / Rift chests
  2. 2Craft Hogyoku at crafting station
  3. 3Choose wish #2 for experimental shards
  4. 4Use experimental shards to reroll weapon form

Key Tips

  • Mission shards → craft Hogyoku
  • Experimental shards = wish #2 only
  • Rift chests = best shard rates
  • Weapon form ≠ ability type reroll
