Crafting & Blacksmithing Full Guide

Craft at any Blacksmith station — Mizuki Sato in Soul Society Outskirts is your first hub. Recipes unlock via quests (yellow markers) or vendor purchases (Soul Tokens).

Hold C to sense nearby crafting stations and quest NPCs. Batch materials by zone before traveling — Spirit Alloy ingredients all drop in Outskirts.

Recipe: 1× Dark Essence + 3× Soul Essence.

Unlock: complete yellow quest Metals of Spirit from NPC Hakuchi/Hokuchi at Mizuki Sato (near torii gate).

Uses: Rebreather, Invasion Bell, Samurai's Armor, Frost Alloy component. Also purchasable from Arctic Town merchant.

Dark Essence: Hollow drops or craft from 5× Hollow Parts at Lv9+.

Recipe: 1× Spirit Alloy + 1× Scorpion Venom + 1× Lizard Blood.

Stats: +1 Equipment Load, +3 Max Reiatsu, +100% Toxic Fumes Resistance.

Quest chain: Wounded Hunter in Nebukai Village — starts at Lv17, craft available at Lv27.

Scorpion Venom: Scorpion Hollows on Precipice lowest level. Lizard Blood: lizard Hollows in water/rice paddies, Outskirts.

Required for The Marsh (King Croc, Strength Extract) and Hermit Cave routes.

Purchase recipe in Wandenreich for 300 Soul Tokens from Quincy vendor.

Craft: 1× Broken Quincy Medallion + 1× Frost Alloy + 2× Strange Essence.

Frost Alloy: 2× Frostvein Shards + 1× Great Soul Essence + 1× Spirit Alloy (complete schematic quest for guaranteed shard).

Strange Essence: ghost cave waterfall, Outskirts. Broken Quincy Medallion: Wandenreich area — not the same as Broken Medallion.

Equip glove, max Reiatsu, press L meditate to evolve spirit weapon before Arctic Securis push.

Recipe: Soul Chain + Soul Essence (or shop purchase depending on account state).

Activating Prayer Beads permanently deletes race, level, stats, skills, inventory, and all progression in that slot.

Justified uses: irreversible Hollow evolution mistake, planned race pivot, or experimental build testing on an alt mindset.

Not a partial reset — for single skill refunds use Statue Mystery quest shrine instead.

Invasion Bell: 1× Spirit Alloy OR 2× Dark Essence — teleports you into an invasion encounter.

Hollow Soul: Soul Chain + materials — Hollow-specific utility craft.

Build Reset Token (Lv70+): 2× Dark Spirit Alloy + Ashen Pendant + King Crocodile Scales + Flame Refined Talon + Tough Direhide — full build wipe without Prayer Beads race delete.

Combine 8× Hogyoku Shards at your faction hub crafting table into True Hogyoku.

Wish menu options: reallocate build points, 7 Experimental Shards (weapon form reroll), 7 Ability Rerolls, 4,000 Soul Coins (Make me rich), refund all skills, Hollow trait reroll, skill cap increase, Ultimate Mastery reset.

Shards farm from hard missions, Rift chests, Gelum tutorial fragment, daily rewards, and codes.

Each True Hogyoku grants exactly one wish — choose based on your bottleneck (wrong build → stat reset; bad weapon roll → experimental shards).

Spirit Alloy: craft Lv13. Dark Essence: Hollows. Soul Essence: common mob/boss drop.

Frostvein Shard: Arctic Plains. Great Soul Essence: mid+ bosses. Soul Chain: quests/Hollows.

Broken Medallion: enemy drops (Rogue Commander rare). Broken Quincy Medallion: Wandenreich.

Energy Cell: missions/shop — Hueco charm merge. Scorpion Venom / Lizard Blood: Outskirts farms.

Hogyoku Shard: legendary — missions, raids, Gelum. Dark Spirit Alloy: Lv80+ gauntlet quest.
