JustKenshi's zone-by-level map — where you play from 1 to 100, race difficulty ranking, infamous bosses, and parry system overview.

Adapted from JustKenshi~8 min read

// Guide Summary

VV progression spans five major zones by level. Lv.1–30: Soul Society villages (Mizuki Shado, etc.). Lv.30–40: Marsh (avoid toads, crocodile king melts HP). Lv.40–60: Arctic Plains (mammoths, world bosses, infamous Thor/Securis-tier fights). Lv.60–70: Human World. Lv.70–100: Hueco Mundo endgame. Easiest race: Quincy. Hardest: Shinigami. Combat: red parry (F), green perfect, orange semi-perfect, F grab.

Race Difficulty Ranking

VV Ultimatum race difficulty comparison
VV Ultimatum race difficulty comparison

JustKenshi ranks race difficulty: Quincy easiest (good starter weapons, straightforward Schrift/Letz path), Arrancar middle (Res weapon mid-prog helps fights), Shinigami hardest (slowest Shikai grind, weakest early feel).

Race choice affects early hours more than endgame — all races reach the same zone map. Quincy recommended for first slot; Shinigami for veterans who want the full challenge.

Power progression (Shikai/Res/Schrift/Letz) gates at level 25 regardless of race. Zone access gates by main story quest level.

Key Tips

  • Quincy = easiest start
  • Arrancar = mid difficulty
  • Shinigami = hardest prog
  • All hit same zones eventually
Lv.1–30

Lv.1–30 — Soul Society

Soul Society outskirts early leveling
Soul Society outskirts early leveling

After tutorial and faction pick, you stay in Soul Society outskirts from level 1 to ~30. Progress village to village — Mizuki Shado, Nemui areas, and connected outskirts zones.

Use C key to track quest markers across the open world. Grab every quest; main story unlocks new villages as you level. Not a single static grind spot.

Level 25 unlocks racial power progression (Shikai/Res/Schrift). Continue outskirts quests while starting meditation or Quincy trainer loops.

Key Tips

  • C key = quest tracking
  • Village hop, not one camp
  • Lv.25 = power prog starts
  • Grab all side quests
Lv.30–60

Lv.30–60 — Marsh & Arctic

Marsh and Arctic Plains mid-game zones

Level 30: craft-item quest sends you to the Marsh (Lv.30–40). Toad enemies — run away. Crocodile King boss destroys low levels; marsh is punishing if undergeared.

Level 40: unlock Arctic Plains — longest stay (Lv.40–60). Home to mammoths, supply caches, world bosses, and infamous hard fights (community compares Securis/Thor-tier bosses to Elden Ring).

Arctic is also where air walk unlocks (~Lv.40–45), Rogue Commander spawns for Quincy Letz mats, and best open-world XP farming happens. See dedicated Arctic/air walk guides.

Key Tips

  • Marsh toads = run
  • Crocodile King = deadly
  • Arctic = Lv.40–60 main home
  • Air walk unlocks here
Lv.60–100

Lv.60–100 — Human World & Hueco Mundo

Human World and Hueco Mundo endgame
Human World and Hueco Mundo endgame

Level 60–70: Human World zone for mid-late quest chains and harder mission tiers.

Level 70–100: Hueco Mundo endgame — Vastolorde content, high-rank missions, invasion focus. Max level is 100 at launch.

Game is early-access scope: no Bankai, Vizard, Fullbring standing, or Segunda at launch per JustKenshi. Strong story mode, unique lore (Yhwach-won timeline), and skill-based PvP carry endgame.

Solo players face long grinds — grouping for world bosses, Dragonfly quests, and Arctic climbs strongly recommended.

Key Tips

  • Human World = Lv.60–70
  • Hueco Mundo = Lv.70–100
  • Max level 100
  • Group for hard bosses

Combat & Parry Types

VV Ultimatum parry system overview
VV Ultimatum parry system overview

VV uses right-click parry by default (rebindable to F). Red indicator = block/parry window. Yellow AoE rings = dodge only, cannot parry.

Parry quality tiers: green flash = perfect parry (best punish window), orange = semi-perfect (limited punish), standard red parry = basic block opportunity.

F grab/backstab mechanic punishes blocking enemies from behind — use in PvP when opponents face you. Combine parry, dodge, grab, and crit for all humanoid boss fights including Shikai and Res trials.

Key Tips

  • Right-click parry default
  • Green = perfect parry
  • Yellow = dodge only
  • F grab = backstab punish
