Which Race Should You Choose?
Corgi's full faction breakdown — unique Kido trees, Hollow traits, Quincy weapon picks, clan elements, and why Hollow or Quincy may edge out Soul Reaper at launch.
// Guide Summary
Each race shares Speed/Hakuda/Strength trees — only the Kido tree differs. Hollow: 4 traits at Vastolorde (rip mask early = only 2-3), Cero Kido kit, Arrancar elements (Los Lobos 1% → Frozen Haze 60%). Quincy: pick weapon at start (rifle hardest to fight against), has Letz Stil, Schrift progression. Shinigami: strong Shikai variety but no Visored/Bankai yet — weakest passive race at launch. Corgi recommends Hollow or Quincy for easier progression; avoid Reversal element (60% common, useless).
What Makes Each Race Different

Speed, Hakuda, Strength, and hybrid builds are identical across all three races. The only race-unique skill tree is Kido — each faction gets a different Kido move set themed after Bleach.
Passive progression also differs: Hollow gets Hollow Traits + Resurrección, Quincy gets Letz Stil + Schrift, Shinigami gets Shikai (Bankai and Visored not in game at launch).
Corgi's launch recommendation: Hollow or Quincy for easier progression and stronger passives. Soul Reaper has excellent Shikai options but is passive-weakest until Visored releases.
Key Tips
- ▸Kido tree = only race-unique skill branch
- ▸Hybrid builds same for all races
- ▸Check element/clan rarity before locking in
- ▸Use vvbuilder.online to plan builds
Hollow — Traits, Kido & Elements

Evolve from Fishbone through Menos and Adjuchas. At Vastolorde you get 4 trait slots before mask removal — rip mask early and you're capped at 2-3 traits only.
Key traits: Iron Skin (+4 melee def, 35% posture regen), Deadly Claws (+3 Hollow dmg), Horns (Cero width/length for Kido builds), Wings (movement/Shunpo), Back Scales (+45s Res duration, faster Cero charge).
Hollow Kido kit: Bala, Cero, Bala Blaster, Finger Cero, Hollow Cutter, Cero Clutch, Psycho Crash, Bala Swarm, Cero Disruptor. Arrancar elements: Los Lobos (1%), Shark Fury (9%), Electro Luminosity (30%), Frozen Haze (60%).
Endgame skill essence for Arrancar Kido: Grand Ray Cero — massive AoE. Hollow has the deepest customization through traits + elements.
Key Tips
- ▸Wait for 4 traits before removing mask
- ▸Horns = Cero/Kido builds
- ▸Los Lobos = rarest Arrancar element (1%)
- ▸Grand Ray Cero = top Arrancar essence
Soul Reaper — Kido & Shikai Elements

Shinigami Kido includes Byakurai, Sai (stun bind), Sekienton (AoE), Hōrin (pull), Suzumushi Raikō (lightning on sword), and ultimates like Ryūjin Jakka (dragon volley) and Iten Kōkō (heavenly beams — needs Hōgyoku shards).
Shikai elements: Senbonzakura (1% rare), Ink, Waypoint (9%), Flame/Ice (30% uncommon), Reversal (60% common). Corgi warns: Reversal is the worst element — reroll immediately if you get it.
No Visored or Bankai at launch. Quincy has Letz and Hollow has traits, putting Soul Reaper behind on passive race bonuses despite having some of the best individual Shikai abilities.
Key Tips
- ▸Reversal element = reroll immediately
- ▸Senbonzakura = 1% rare Shikai element
- ▸Strong Shikai pool but weak passives
- ▸Kurohitsugi = Shinigami skill essence
Quincy — Weapons, Kido & Elements

Pick your starting weapon at creation: spear, greatsword, longsword, rapier, hammer, rifle, or club. Corgi recommends rifle — hardest for opponents to counter in PvP testing.
Quincy Kido highlights: Still Silver (homing arrow), Blood Artery (+M1 damage), Blood Vein (damage resistance), Blitz Voll (ricocheting explosive arrow), Großer Sternschnitt (spirit greatsword).
Quincy has Letz Stil (Soul Reaper lacks Visored equivalent). Elements: Superstar (1%), Heat/Necromancer (9% — Necromancer reportedly OP), Dimensional/Thunderbolt (30%), Blade Master (60%).
Letz Stil and Schrift boss fights are easier than Shinigami/Hollow equivalents per Corgi. Best pick for players wanting smoother early progression.
Key Tips
- ▸Rifle = strongest PvP starting weapon
- ▸Necromancer element reportedly OP
- ▸Has Letz Stil — Shinigami has no Visored
- ▸Easiest faction boss progression
Corgi's Final Recommendation

For build diversity and endgame ceiling: Hollow. Traits, Cero builds, Arrancar elements, and Resurrección give the most options.
For easier progression and strong ranged combat: Quincy. Weapon choice at start, Letz Stil passive, and simpler Schrift unlock path.
For Bleach fans who want specific Shikai fantasies: Soul Reaper — but accept weaker passives and reroll bad elements like Reversal. Pair with our Shikai progression and Speed build guides.
Regardless of pick, plan your build at vvbuilder.online before spending skill points — resets are expensive after level 20.
Key Tips
- ▸Hollow = most depth, hardest start
- ▸Quincy = easiest prog, strong ranged
- ▸Shinigami = pick only for Shikai fantasy
- ▸Plan build before first SP spend
Race Quick Comparison
| Race | Strength | Weakness |

| Hollow | Hollow Traits + Res | Deepest build system, unique Cero Kido |
| Quincy | Weapon choice + Letz | Easiest prog, strong ranged start |
| Shinigami | Best Shikai variety | No Visored yet, Reversal element trash |
| All | Only Kido tree differs | Hybrid builds identical across races |
