Quincy Progression Guide (Part 1)

H_10Z's early Quincy walkthrough — tutorial combat, outskirts quest loop, home-world missions, cadet rank, and first Kido investments before Schrift.

Adapted from H_10Z~14 min read

// Guide Summary

Quincy early game mirrors Shinigami quest flow with a unique home world and spirit weapons. Tutorial: parry red slashes, dodge red AoE. Necklace quest from Fort Adams → Soul Society outskirts. Farm all visible quests with C-key tracking. Reach cadet via 4-hollow promotion, unlock home-world missions for Menos quests. Level 15+ safe zone off — supply caches become PvP. Invest in Kido early — Reatsu drains fast. Schrift unlocks in Part 2 territory (~level 25+).

Lv.1–5

Tutorial & Construct Boss

Quincy starts with magnetic construct training — equip your spirit weapon (X, not E) and learn M1 swings. The gates open to a tutorial boss fight with solid rewards if you can beat it.

Combat basics carry across all races: parry red indicator attacks (F), dodge yellow AoE rings. The construct boss punishes greed — focus on parry timing over spam.

After tutorial, Quincy teleports to their own home hub (not Soul Society proper). Each race has a unique teleport destination — Quincy uses the outskirts route for early quests.

Key Tips

  • Red = parry, yellow = dodge
  • Tutorial boss = optional but good practice
  • Spirit weapon equip = X key
  • Quincy has unique home teleport
Lv.5–15

Soul Society Outskirts Quest Loop

Soul Society Outskirts is the main early leveling zone. Pick up every quest you see — the game shows ~10 available at once. Use C to track objectives on the map.

Common early quests: spar hollow NPCs (lure Fishbone hollows to the ring), kill lizard hollows, collect bat wings. Bat enemies hit harder than lizards — return to Fort Adams between tough quests.

Necklace quest: get it from Fort Adams NPC, find the chest in Sweetwater Pass (first one you see), return for XP. Quincy villagers may react to your race — quest givers in outskirts are friendly.

Sparring quests count when you bring NPCs to the training ring. Even if the quest completes mid-fight, finish the spar for bonus familiarity with parry windows.

  1. 1C key → track all quests
  2. 2Spar hollows at the ring
  3. 3Clear lizard / bat kill quests
  4. 4Turn in necklace at Fort Adams

Key Tips

  • Grab every quest icon
  • Bats > lizards in difficulty
  • Sweetwater Pass = necklace chest
  • C key is essential navigation
Lv.12–20

Cadet Rank & Home-World Missions

Quincy home world mission desk

Promotion to Cadet requires defeating 4 hollows — straightforward in outskirts. Cadet unlocks home-world mission desk missions (errand / low-class / invasion queues).

Menos Grande kill quest: easiest path is a home-world low-class mission that spawns a Menos, rather than hunting open world. Check mission desk in your Quincy home world.

Invasions unlock at the mission desk — real PvP against opposite factions. Early testers may dominate, but invasions are the intended endgame loop entry.

Supply caches spawn in the world — capture for rewards. PvP shield auto-disables at level 15; below that you can toggle it off manually to contest caches.

Key Tips

  • Cadet = 4 hollow kills
  • Menos quest via home mission
  • Mission desk = invasions
  • Lv.15+ = PvP on caches
Lv.17–20

Kido Tree & Reatsu Management

Quincy Kido skill tree early investment

By level 17–20, invest skill points into Kido. Quincy abilities scale off Reatsu — without reserve investment, Kido skills drain your bar in seconds.

H_10Z switched to a Kido-focused tree after debating essence picks. Prioritize nodes that unlock your first reliable Kido attacks before dumping everything into Speed.

Essence selection matters — read each option's scaling. Pair Kido nodes with Reserves stat investment so you can actually cast in extended fights.

Part 2 of this series covers Schrift unlock (~level 25+). Until then, keep doing outskirts quests, home-world missions, and supply cache events for steady XP.

Key Tips

  • Kido needs Reatsu reserves
  • Don't ignore Reserves stat
  • Read essence descriptions
  • Schrift = Part 2 (~Lv.25)
