Full Faction Max Level Guide

TheRealPunchee's comprehensive walkthrough for all three factions — shared leveling systems, race-specific power progression, and endgame caps at launch.

All factions share: tutorial → character creation (innate +/- stats, clan rerolls) → mixed XP bar (quest + PvE + PvP sections must all fill) → Soul ticket missions. Build points (Shunpo, Reserves) ≠ attribute points (skill scaling) ≠ skill points (unlock nodes). Shinigami max = Shikai (no Bankai yet). Hollow: Fishbone → Menos → Adjuchas → Vastolorde/Vastocar → Res. Quincy: Lieutenant medallion jobs, glove craft, Schrift + Letz Stil. Vastolorde keeps passive traits always on; Vastocar gets weapons but traits only in Res.

Shared Basics & Character Creation

Every faction starts with the same tutorial, optional boss loot, then character creation. Hollow is the exception — you pick a starter Hollow variant (gorilla, lizard, turtle, centipede) that you'll fight as an NPC later.

Clan (last name) rerolls impact stats — cosmetic options unlock through progression. The only creation choice with build impact is innate +/- stat modifiers.

Each faction has an exclusive Kido tree. Rank/position systems exist (Quincy cadet, Soul Reaper trainee) with optional promotion missions and joinable divisions/squads for bonus effects.

Systems

Build, Attribute & Skill Points

Build points: passive caps (Shunpo = flash steps, Reserves = Reatsu pool). Raising the cap requires related in-combat activities to fill current stats.

Attribute points: skill damage scaling + skill tree requirements (e.g. Hakuda attribute unlocks Hakuda tree nodes and boosts Hakuda skill damage, not M1 damage).

Skill points: unlock and upgrade individual abilities on the skill tree. Max build points before heavily upgrading one specific skill.

Leveling

Your XP bar splits into sections — quest XP, monster XP, player kill XP, etc. Each section caps independently. Single-activity grinding hits a wall; you must diversify.

Quests are the best foundation: main story, dailies (repeatable), and homeland quests. They fill multiple XP sections while awarding Soul tickets.

All factions access Soul ticket missions via Soul Pager (Shinigami/Quincy) or NPC interaction (Hollow). Missions support PvE and invasion PvP. Stack missions on top of active quests for fastest overall progression.

Shinigami bonus: turn in wandering souls for large generic XP. Quincy bonus: exterminate lost souls (opposite mechanic).

Shinigami

Soul Reaper — Full Shikai Progression

Shikai progression is level-based whisper messages — no specific kill requirements. Play normally, receive gray-screen whispers, meditate (L) out of combat.

Stages: receive Zanpakuto → white spirit realm with shrines → follow blue particles to blue shrines fighting NPCs → meet Shikai spirit with dialogue mini-games → boss fight using your own stats/moves against you.

Two spirit fights: first is progression-only, second has two phases and must be won. After winning, press E to call sword name and draw Shikai weapon form (rerollable).

Ability unlock: return to inner world, find weapon model mini-game, then use Shikai with abilities. Ability points customize cost/efficiency/duration per skill. 100% ability bar = fully maxed Shikai. No Bankai at launch.

Key Tips

  • Whispers from normal gameplay — just keep leveling
  • Meditate only after whisper message
  • Inner world boss uses YOUR moves
  • Launch max = Shikai (no Bankai yet)
Hollow

Fishbone → Menos (kill Hollows/quests) → Adjuchas (break objects + kill Hollows for evolution points, not just XP) → Vastolorde or Vastocar choice.

Vastolorde: passive trait buffs always active, no weapons/Res. Vastocar: mask removal, build reset, hollow weapon, traits only active during Res — more build creativity, weaker base stats.

Res progression mirrors Shikai: whispers → meditate → inner world (explore empty world, follow red eyes, buildings form) → boss fight through all your original forms (Fishbone → Menos → Adjuchas, no heals). Can retry immediately on failure.

Beat boss = instant Res unlock with base abilities. Level abilities in combat. Vastolorde traits always buff Res; Vastocar needs active Res for trait buffs.

Key Tips

  • Adjuchas needs evolution points from kills
  • 4 traits required before mask removal
  • Vastolorde = always-on traits, no sword
  • Res boss = fight your own evolution forms
Quincy

Quincy — Schrift & Letz Stil

Quincy picks weapon at creation (stronger starting options than other factions). Progression is Lieutenant medallion jobs — press L, talk to Lieutenant, pick tasks. Three-star missions give most progression.

Whispers are irrelevant to Quincy — progression is job completion + cooldown timers. Prioritize easy repeatable jobs over hard ones for Schrift XP efficiency.

Glove crafting gate: needs Soul Essences (missions), Strange Essences (cave ghosts), Frost Shards (rare, Arrogant enemies), and Broken Medallion (Arctic boss, doesn't always spawn — hardest part).

Glove instantly evolves weapon (e.g. rifle → sniper). Continue Lieutenant missions → eventually unlock Schrift + Letz Stil awakening directly (no boss fight at launch). Abilities work outside Letz Stil mode but stats boost when awakened.

Key Tips

  • Medallion jobs, not whispers, drive Quincy prog
  • 3-star Lieutenant missions = most progress
  • Broken Medallion = biggest RNG gate
  • Weapon evolution at glove craft step
