// Guide Summary

Core loop for levels 1-25: complete the tutorial (learn parry/dash mechanics), skip the tutorial boss if you want fast progress, pick your faction carefully with innate +/- stats, do the necklace quest at Fort Adams, then press C and grab every quest. Press Tab for charms/stats/inventory, M for skill trees. Level 25 unlocks power progression (Shikai/Res/Schrift). Play with friends — this game has 14+ hours of quest content.

Tutorial Combat Mechanics

VV: ULTIMATUM combat tutorial
VV: ULTIMATUM combat tutorial

The tutorial in the blue training area teaches core mechanics you won't find in other Roblox games. Pay close attention — VV: ULTIMATUM has multiple block types and attack patterns.

When you see a red indicator, press F to parry. Yellow indicators require a dash dodge. Large AoE circles on the ground mean you must dash out of the area entirely.

Key Tips

  • Red = Press F (parry)
  • Yellow = Dash dodge
  • AoE circle = Dash out of range
  • Mechanics differ from Type Soul — timing is more immediate

Tutorial Boss — Skip or Fight?

After the tutorial, you face a very difficult first boss. On your first playthrough it can take 1-2 hours to beat.

Captinttb recommends skipping it so you can start leveling immediately. However, fighting it helps you learn the combat system if you're willing to invest the time.

Key Tips

  • Skip = faster progression to Fort Adams
  • Fight = learn combat, but significant time cost

Faction & Innate Stat Selection

Choose Quincy, Soul Reaper, or Hollow
Choose Quincy, Soul Reaper, or Hollow

After the boss, you choose your permanent faction: Quincy, Soul Reaper (Shinigami), or Hollow. This choice cannot be changed.

Soul Reapers and Quincy can pick Innate stats at creation — a positive and negative modifier on specific stats. Hollows cannot choose Innate until becoming an Arrancar or Vastocar.

Plan your build before selecting: Kido builds want +Reserves, PvP Hakuda builds want different allocations. A bad negative can cripple your build (e.g. negative Metal = posture breaks much faster).

  1. 1Choose faction (permanent)
  2. 2Soul Reaper/Quincy: pick + and - innate stats
  3. 3Hollow: innate comes later at Arrancar/Vastocar
  4. 4Match innates to your intended skill tree
Lv.1-10

Necklace Quest & First Progression

Fort Adams starting zone
Fort Adams starting zone

You spawn at Fort Adams. Take the necklace quest first, then press U to open world teleport and go to Soul Society Outskirts.

The necklace is behind a building in Soul Society. Complete this for every race, return to Fort Adams to turn it in, then head back to Soul Society to begin real progression.

Soul Reapers and Quincys: press C and start your first quest, then loop quests continuously. Hollows: you start as a Fishbone and must evolve Fishbone → Menos → Adjuchas → Vastocar before full quest progression.

  1. 1Spawn at Fort Adams, take necklace quest
  2. 2Press U → teleport to Soul Society Outskirts
  3. 3Find necklace behind building, return to Fort Adams
  4. 4Back to Soul Society — press C, start quest loop
Hollow

Hollow Evolution Path

Hollow progression route
Hollow progression route

Hollow players begin as a Fishbone and cannot access the standard quest loop until evolving through the Hollow chain.

Progression: Fishbone → Menos → Adjuchas → Vastocar. At Vastocar you unlock full quest progression and can eventually pick Innate stats.

At level 25, Hollows begin meditating for Resurrección progression (covered in race-specific guides).

Key Tips

  • Hollow is the hardest starter race
  • Evolution requires consuming other Hollows
  • Las Noches (press U) is the Hollow homeworld
UI

Tab Menu — Charms, Stats & Inventory

Press Tab to open the main character panel — the most important UI in the game.

Spirit Charms are trait-like passives with tier ratings (T1, T2, etc.) — e.g. +7.5% critical damage, or spawning dragonfly Hollows on crit.

Accessories slot shows equipped gear. Stats panel tracks your character stats (grow with level). Inventory stores items — bottom-left shows equipment load capacity.

Critical warning: when you die, you can randomly lose items from your inventory. Use the Bank Remote (obtained in Muziki Sato area) to store valuables safely.

The quest log shows all active quests. Captinttb notes 14+ hours of quest content even without Resurrección unlocked — prepare for a long grind.

Key Tips

  • Spirit Charms = passive traits with tiers
  • Death = random inventory item loss
  • Bank Remote = safe storage (get at Muziki Sato)
  • Play with friends — highly recommended

Skill Trees (Press M)

Skill tree and stat allocation
Skill tree and stat allocation

Press M to open skill trees. Five main trees: Race Moves (Kido), Miscellaneous, Speed, Strength (Kendo), and Hakuda.

Hakuda is considered the most broken tree for PvP — highly recommended if you enjoy player combat.

You spend Skill Points and Attribute Points to unlock nodes. Each node shows requirements (e.g. 5 skill points + 82 Kido). Hover nodes to see preview videos of each move.

Innate stats are increased by manually using related moves: use Kido skills to raise Kido stat, dash to raise Shunpo, block to raise Metal, etc. Stat points can also be allocated directly.

You can switch to Ascension Fragments as an alternative currency for some nodes.

  1. 1Press M to open skill trees
  2. 2Check node requirements (skill points + stat level)
  3. 3Allocate attribute points to Reserves/Haste/Potency/Metal/Shunpo
  4. 4Use moves in combat to naturally raise related stats

Key Tips

  • Hakuda = best PvP tree
  • Fill out Miscellaneous tree
  • Each node has a preview video — watch before investing

Parrying & Combat Tips

Parry when the enemy attack is coming down — not delayed like Type Soul. The timing window is more immediate.

Practice on Hollows in Soul Society. Even experienced players need time to adjust to VV's combat feel.

Press C to find quests and enemies in each area. Explore different zones for varied mob types.

Key Tips

  • Parry on the downswing, not early
  • Different from Type Soul timing
  • Lots of practice needed — normal for new players
Lv.15+

Mission Tickets & Los Noches

Mission tickets appear as yellow markers (top-left HUD). Accept missions, complete objectives, and receive a chest reward at the end.

Request promotions to unlock higher mission classes. For Hollows in Los Noches, the low-class medium Menos mission is the easiest — Menos are simple to kill.

In Los Noches (Hollow homeworld via U), press C for local quests. There's also a clothing shop to customize appearance.

Homeworld varies by race: Hollows get Las Noches, Quincy and Soul Reaper have their own areas via U teleport.

Key Tips

  • Menos low-class medium = easiest mission for Hollows
  • Mission chests = good rewards
  • Press C everywhere — quests hide in each zone
Lv.25

Level 25 Milestone & Key Takeaways

This guide covers levels 1-25. At level 25, all races unlock power progression: Soul Reapers meditate for Shikai, Quincy for Schrift, Hollows for Resurrección.

The three biggest rules for the starter phase: press C and take every quest, play with friends, and invest your stat/skill points thoughtfully.

For the full 1-100 route including Arctic Plains, Shikai farming, and Hueco Mundo unlock, see our Level 1-100 guide.

Key Tips

  • C + every quest = fastest leveling
  • Friends make bosses and PvP much easier
  • Level 25 = start power progression
  • 14+ hours of content ahead — pace yourself
